A new dawn brings
The madness is over for now. A new project and the new possiblities that project brings. It's been touch and go for the last two months and now it looks like the worst is over for now. Thank god. Sorry if that's a little vague, it's all I can talk about.
The weekend was fun. Friday I stayed in and watched Battlestar Galactica. OMG it's sooo good. I don't remember too much though because I was animating a 3d robot at the time. But I remember the pastor or whoever that woman was getting shot and I remember Lee telling Kara that he loved her. It was cute. I like how Apollo and Starbuck (Lee and Kara's callsigns) play with eachother, forever orbiting around flirtatious disaster.
Saturday I splurged a little and bought Kung Fu Hustle. Which I just finished last night. It's got some of the best fight scenes. Which is amazing considering that tht movie was billed as Loony Tunes meets the Matrix. I think that's a little off. The fight scenes reminded me more of the Rurouni Kenshin (I appologize if the spelling is off) Japanese TV series. In that show, a travelling swordsman fights evil in a post feudal Japan. Outragious swordfights with superhuman opponents are the norm. Although I don't expect most american movie critics to have seen that series.
Saturday night was spent at Nation with Corey and Justin, two friends of mine who came in from Baltimore for the weekend. I don't usually go to Nation as a rule. It's a little too wild for me. But last weekend it wasn't that bad. Could have something to do with the fact that no one was there. Well almost no one ;-). I managed to find my fun and get a number to boot.
Muffin, or Justin rather, (we call him that becuase he hates it) didn't really like the music in the main hall. It was too "thumpa thumpa" for him. But he still managed to bust it up a little on the dance floor. For a few minutes at least until he drug us to the blue room.
The next morning we all woke up to fund that even though none of us took anyone home we all woke up with Mr. Hangover. And as you know Mr. Hangover is like the house guest who refused to leave. Corey eased our sins with a communion that consisted of Advil and Diet Pepsi. It was Sunday after all. After that we took our hangovers out to brunch, then to the movies, then shopping.
That's pretty much it.
